Do i have Genital Herpes?

Im 14 and i never had sex. 2 days ago my left side of Labia Majora started feel weird and kinda itchy. Then i saw a bump and the end of Labia Majora. It was swollen and the end of the bump was kinda shiny and it didn’t look like a pus. It kinda burned and it felt uncomfortable. Today i tried to squeeze it and some yellow thing came out ( like from a puss or something)… It hurts kinda less but it still burns. I had herpes before once on my lips but it was ages ago. What do i have?? If its herpes will i ever be able to get the bump treated and somehow destroyed?

If you have never received oral sex or had intercourse before then you shouldn’t have herpes below the waist. Genital herpes is an sti which is rarely transmitted out side of having intercourse or oral sex. It could be an in grown hair, irritation or a cyst. If you really want to know you should see a doctor and get tested. You can go to planned parent hood.
Just because you have herpes on your lips that doesn’t mean you have it down stairs too. Herpes break outs usually go away in about 1-3 weeks, but you will always have the herpes virus.

a question on Genital Herpes Transmission?

Okay, so i have a girlfriend, that i’m not sure if she gave me herpes or if i gave her it, but we both have it, so we’re going to ignore it and keep going out, but say, i gave her a kiss, and i got herpes, if i gave her oral sex, would she get her own herpes in the genital place as well as the mouth, or vice versa?

That depends on what type of herpes you all ready have, but you can contract both types of the herpes virus. I contracted herpes through having oral sex with my boy friend that has a cold sore one night, we didn’t know any better that cold sores are caused by oral herpes and they are contagious. They can be passed from mouth to genitals if you give oral sex while you have a cold sore on your mouth.
If you want to know if you have herpes a doctor can run a blood test on both of you, or they can test an out break for the virus.
If she all ready has herpes below the waist then she won’t be likely to get reinfected in that location with the same type of herpes.

how long before a cure for herpes?

I have been diagnoses with Genital Herpes 2 years ago, i probably had them much longer. I ws diagnosed after i got engaged. My wife knows all about it, and as a result has not contracted them, through us being super cautious. My question is, i know there is some experimental vaccines, but any chance of a cure soon?

There is this one thing that’s pretty promising. It’s a “theraputic vaccine” meaning it’s intended for use in those already infected. It basically boosts your immune system to specifically target herpes simplex.

It’s not a true “cure” but it prevents basically prevents the virus from “reactivating” hopefully meaning that you won’t have outbreaks and won’t be contagious.

is it possible to have Genital Herpes on Upper Thigh?It is not from sex, what else can it be from?

They are not in a “cluster”, but there is bunch of them more in a line.
