The other night, my vagina was dry and itchy, so I scratched it to ease the itchiness. I scratched too hard I think, and the next morning I woke up with a few little bumps. They look like canker sores but are on the inside of my vagina (red around the outside, with a white head like a pimple). I was worried it could be herpes but don’t think so for a few reasons: 1. Could this be a staph infection or a few boils from possibly breaking the skin when I scratched? Is there any way this could be herpes? (I’ve had other sex partners, but not for about 2 years, and that is a long time for herpes to lie dormant with no outbreaks.) Please help!
sorry to tell u but i think they may be herpes. the first outbreak i had sounds similar to that.
1. herpes comes in all sizes and shapes and there are two strains. one causes open sores to appear on your mouth or gentials. the second usually breaks out on the genitals in blisters. i have had individual blisters and the sores.
2. the guy your with could be a carrier of herpe which means that he wouldn’t experience outbreaks or symptoms of them or u could have gotten them from a previous parter, and the virus lied dormant for a while (which can happen with herpes). some people can go years without having outbreaks.
could be a staff infecion. look up some of the symptoms of herpes on mayoclinic.com or webmd.com if u have any symptoms then get checked out at the doctor, they will know for sure.
BTW condoms are not effective for herpes. it takes skin to skin contact with an area outside of where the condom covers and u could spread or end up with herpes.
