What can i do to control herpes outbreaks?

I had my first herpes outbreak in mid- March (I have type 1 Genital Herpes, I was tested and know its type 1). Since then I have had two mild outbreaks. I know the first year of having herpes is the worst but I really dont want to get outbreaks monthly like this.

Where on the internet can I have a cheap at home test kits for Genital Herpes and HPV/warts?

They don’t exist–cheap or expensive. There also does not exist an HPV test for men at all. The only way they can be diagnosed is in the doctor’s office by visual exam.

Gotta go to an STD clinic for this diagnosis.

I had sex with a woman with Genital Herpes what are my chances of contracting this?

here are the facts… i wore a condom she gave me oral and i fingered her she told me she hasnt had a break out in a while…
also i really like her but this is something that is really freaking me out because i dont want herpes but i do want to be in love and she seems interested in me. i was recently blood tested and im clean 100% can i be with her and not get herpes or am i doomed to this virus?

I was with one ex for almost 4 years and he never got genital herpes from me. So, it is possible for one person to have the virus and the other not. It CAN happen.

But, I was with my fiance (boyfriend at the time) for only 2 months and he contracted the virus from me! I hadn’t had an outbreak in over 2 years and he still got it from me.

Whenever a person has sex with someone who has genital herpes there is ALWAYS going to be a chance that the virus can be spread. NOTHING is 100% effective in preventing herpes (except abstinence). Condoms HELP, anti viral medication HELPS, not having sex while she is on an outbreak HELPS, but nothing is truly 100% effective.

You are just going to have to make a decision about whether or not you want to be with her. If you decide to leave then fine, but if you decide to stay then you have to know there is going to be a chance that you will contract the virus from her. My boyfriend (now fiance) wanted to be with me despite the fact that I have genital herpes. He loves me for ME, virus and all.

Herpes is always given a lot of crap and people work it up to be a HUGE deal when it’s really not. It’s estimated about 75 – 80% of the WORLD has cold sores (oral herpes) and about 25% of the wolrd has genital herpes. It is VERY common!

Sex with Genital Herpes?

Me and my wife both have herpes and I decided to finally try and get a little more info. However, almost all the information if for couples who don’t want to spread it. Well we both have the same type same strand (I got it from her) so we are not worried about spreading it. My question is say I have symptoms (she barely has any and most of the time none) which is just the itching sensation and now small blisters, should we not have sex?

Since you both have it you don’t have to worry about spreading it. You can spread it to the mouth and this doesn’t commonly happen. My boy friend and I also have herpes, we hardly have out breaks any more but if we do we try to avoid having sex when there is one.
It would be best to avoid having sex during out breaks even if you both have herpes. You could trigger an out break for her if you have sex when you have one and she doesn’t. Same goes for her. Maybe your treatment needs to change, some times your body can get used to medication if you use it often. Talk to your doctor and see if there is some thing less expensive that you can use.

Can Genital Herpes occur once in a while for males?

I had these soar spots a few times and the last time I had one was a pretty loooooong time. There was this one time where I actually had a pimple-like looking spot near my penis. So does genital herpes occur every day or just a few times?
